Infrastructure Engineer

Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud FinOps & Observability)
Location: Co. Kerry, Ireland (Hybrid)

An established international financial services and technology company is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to take the technical lead on Cloud FinOps and observability across its Azure and GCP estate. This is a hands-on role with real ownership: you'll shape how the business governs and optimises cloud spend, and set the standard for monitoring and alerting.

What you'll do

• Design, build and manage cloud infrastructure across Azure and GCP
• Own and mature FinOps practices, including governance, tagging, cost allocation, budgeting and forecasting
• Act as the go-to expert on cloud cost optimisation, working with Engineering and Finance
• Build and maintain Grafana dashboards and Prometheus monitoring and alerting standards
• Support deployments using Terraform
• Take part in incident response, root cause analysis and an on-call rotation

What you'll bring

• 3–5+ years in Infrastructure or Cloud Engineering
• Strong hands-on Azure and/or GCP experience (Administrator certification preferred)
• A proven track record of cloud cost optimisation with measurable results
• Strong Grafana and Prometheus experience, including PromQL and alerting
• Terraform, plus scripting in Python, Bash or similar
• Production incident management experience
• Jira, JSM and Confluence experience

Nice to have

• FinOps certification
• Kubernetes, SRE principles (SLIs/SLOs), chargeback/showback models
• Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) experience
